HEMSLEY I

ALTERNATIVE NAME:  HEMSLEY 1, SCOTOL

Remains of 1969 wreck of English tanker which grounded in Fox's Cove, less than 0.5 miles south of Treyarnon Bay, en route from Liverpool to Antwerp, where she was to be broken up. She was instead broken up in situ. Built in Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1916, she was a steam-driven vessel.
