TURRET 37B

DESCRIPTION + /

The site of Roman turret 37B on Hadrian's Wall. The earthwork remains and its connecting road to the Military Way. The turret exists as a platform 10 metres north-east/south-west by 6.3 metres transversely and up to 1.4 metres high. A small enclosure, possibly contemporary, is on the east side. The road linking the turret to the Miltary Way is visible on air photographs as an agger of approximately 4 metres in diameter.
