Hillfoot Towers

Summary : Four sixteen-storey tower blocks built as public housing. The blocks contained 359 dwellings in total. The Bison industrialised building system was used for construction. Construction commenced in 1967. The blocks were closed in 1985 as a result of structural, heating and insulation problems. All of the blocks are now demolished.
More information : The blocks were commissioned by Bradford County Borough Council. The Primary and Former addresses were the individual addresses of each tower block; all were of equal status. The Alternate Name is the name that was given to the contract for the development. The exact date of demolition is unknown. (1-2)
