Summary : A pair of parish boundary markers situated on the south bank of the Regent's Canal, north of the Clore Pavilion, London Zoo. These markers are one of four pairs situated within the Zoo marking the boundary between St Marylebone and St Pancras parishes, and were put into place in 1821. The markers for St Marylebone comprise heavily worn limestone posts, 33 cm square in section, with chamfered corners and up to one metre in height. The St Pancras examples are of cast iron grooved posts, with 24 cm square bases tapering to octagonal heads, and are 80 cm high. Both sets of posts bear parish initials and dates. Some were replaced in 1854.
