Summary : Three fifteen-storey slab blocks built as public housing as phase one of a redevelopment area around Avenham Lane. Each block contains 33 one-bedroom flats, 132 two-bedroom flats and 30 three-bedroom flats, providing 65 dwellings in total. Derby Fizackelay was the architect for the blocks. The blocks were constructed using in situ concrete with pre-cast cladding. Construction commenced in February 1963. |
