DESCRIPTION

A six-storey balcony access block which forms three linked courts. The block was built as public housing as part of Suffolk Estate and contains 283 dwellings in total. Construction was approved by committee in 1963.

The block was commissioned by London County Council in what was formerly Shoreditch Metropolitan Borough. (1)

The Alternate addresses of Debenham Court, Laxfield Court and Orwell Court are the individual courts within the block; all are current and of equal status.

The Alternate name was the name given to the contract for the development. (1)
