Summary : Two tower blocks built as part of a public housing redevelopment scheme known as the Kingsland Estate. One block is an eleven-storey H-plan block consisting of 44 two-bedroom flats. The other block is a six-storey slab block with balcony access, consisting of 30 dwellings. Construction was approved by committee in 1955.
More information : The blocks were constructed by Shoreditch Metropolitan Borough Council. The Primary and Alternate addresses are the current adresses of each block; both are current and of equal status. 21 - 64 Laburnum Court is the eleven-storey H-plan block. The Alternate name was the name given to the contract for the development. (1-2)
