Summary : Three sixteen-storey tower blocks built as public housing, consisting of 270 dwellings. The blocks formed part of a larger public housing development that provided 534 dwellings in total. Construction was approved by committee in 1967. Two blocks were demolished. The remaining one is called Welton House.
More information : The blocks were approved under Middlesbrough County Borough Council. Authority in this area transferred to Teeside County Borough Council as of 1968. The Primary and Alternate addresses are the individual addresses of each block; all are current and of equal status. The Alternate Name was the name given to the contract for the development. (1)

G Wimpey and Co. Ltd.'s tender for the contract was £1,908,949. (2)

Described as 3 blocks on Glentworth Avenue. Two of the blocks, the northernmost and southernmost blocks, have now been demolished. I believe that this occurred about 5 years ago. (3)
