More information : A ring ditch located south-southeast of the Mount Pleasant henge enclosure, one of several recorded for the first time during analysis of aerial photographs in 2004-5. Following the simple nomenclature used in the RCHME inventory and existing monument records, the barrow is designated 'I'.
Located at SY 71218969, it measures circa 14 metres in maximum internal diameter. It is the southernmost member of a broadly linear group of three ring ditches, and is separated from 'H', to the north-west, by just 4 metres. All three of these ring ditches were first photographed by Francesca Radcliffe in 1996. (1,2) |
