DARWIN STATUE

A bronze statue of Charles Darwin unveiled on 12th February 2009 at Christ College Cambridge as part of Darwin's bicentenary celebrations. The statue by Anthony Smith depicts Darwin as a young undergraduate sitting on a bench with a book in his hands. It reflects how he would have looked when studying at Cambridge in 1831. The statue is to be the centrepiece of a garden devoted to Darwin.
