More information : A possible Second World War barbed wire enclosure is visible as a structure on historic air photographs at SE2420 9802. It may have been part of a system of defences that encircled RAF Catterick UID1391330 (see also UIDs 1485642, 1485653, 1485675, 1486058, 1486086, 1486088). This feature was probably removed soon after the end of the war.(1)
