Summary : A meeting-house built in Wynards Lane, magdalen Streetin 1691, was superseded in 1836 by a larger building in Friars Walk, now the Salvation Army Temple. In 1868, the Quakers repurchased the former site in Magdalen Street and buiolt the present meeting house, a stone building in an institutional Gothic style, in 1876.
