Summary : Site of Second World War Type 22 pillbox East of the line of the First World war hangars at Boscombe Down airfield. This was one of fourteen pillboxes built to defend the airfield, of which ten survive. It differed from the normal Type 22 pillbox in that it was not provided with an anti-ricochet wall.
