Summary : Very fine early 19th century draw lime kiln of well-dressed and coursed sandstone masonry, with limestone quarry to the rear and earthen charging ramp level with quarry floor and kiln top three draw arches, each with a rounded segmental arch, internally splayed barrel-vaulted roof and single square draw eye, the draw from a single circular stone-lined pot measuring ca. 5m high and 6m in diameter. |
