Summary : A Bronze Age bowl barrow situated 300 metres north of Postdown Farm, forming part of the Lambourn Seven Barrows Cemetery. The barrow, known as Barrow 20 by Case, survives as an earthwork one metre high and 25 metres in diameter. The ditch could not be located. The earthwork does not appear to be visible on aerial photographs.
More information : Group centred SU 328 828] Seven Barrows [G.T.] Tumulus [G.T] six times Tumulus [G.T] (sites of) (1) This barrow is one of thirty six barrows listed by Case and is listed as Barrow 20. [see plan AO/LP/63/105 for numbering and siting]. (2) The barrow (Barrow 20) at SU 3293 8255 was found to be an indeterminate rise which does not show on aerial photographs and may well be natural. (3) The barrow (Barrow 20) could not be located on the available aerial photographs. (4) A bowl barrow situated 300 metres north of Postdown Farm, forming part of the Lambourn Seven Barrows Cemetery. The barrow survives as an earthwork one metre high and 25 metres in diameter. The ditch could not be located. (5)
