Centred at TA 4125 1548 is a sub-square barbed wire fence. It is suggested this represents the remains of a pillbox / observation post.
The monument is part of the extensive coastal defence system built around Godwin Battery (HOB UID 929478).
These features date to World War II.
Due to coastal erosion a conspicuous part of the monument no longer survives in situ. (1)
