Summary : Cholsey School fishponds. Series of fishponds, probably medieval in origins but which have been dredged and altered to form a wildlife area within a Primary School.
More information : Series of fishponds, probably medieval in origins but which have been dredged and altered to form a wildlife area within a Primary School. The original water system has been damaged by a railway cutting and later building and much of the present water is pumped in. They are not clearly shown on an estate map of 1695, although they may have been in use as part of a vineyard at this time. (1)
