MONUMENT NO. 1439158

DESCRIPTION + /

Remains of submarine forest radiocarbon-dated to circa 6200 to 6300BC, and therefore extant during the Mesolithic period, located in the vicinity of West Mary's Rocks. The site is part of a designated wreck site, the Erme Ingot site, which is, however, clearly not directly associated with the forest, being assigned a Bronze Age or late Roman date.
