Summary : Four military buildings, which were probably part of a World War II military camp, are visible as structures on aerial photographs. The site comprises three propbably concrete pitched roof buildings and one brick building circa 25m to their north. The concrete buildings are parallel to each other and are situated within trees, circa 1100m to the south-west of Barkston Heath airfield (SK 94 SE 71) with which they are probably associated. The surrounding area is marked on the Ordnance Survey map as "disused camp site", which suggests the presence of a military camp, perhaps the location of the 507 Parachute Infantry Regiment camp. |
