Recent aerial photography taken in 2002 provides additional detail. The multiphase site comprises two perpendicular trackway sections, plus a number of pits, overlapping curvilinear enclosures, two possible hut circles and several irregular macula. A possible hut circle is situated at SE 9626 7732, within 45m of which are situated several irregular macula that could be associated with the early 20th century excavations referred to under SE 97 NE 12 (UID: 64802). The curvilinear enclosures are centred around SE 9620 7728 and the second possible hut circle is centred around SE 9625 7723. The trackways are defined by roughly parallel linear ditch sections and extend between SE 9620 7725 and SE 9651 7726, and between SE 9619 7713 and SE 9616 7723. Pits are dispersed across the western half of the site and measure up to 4m in diameter. (2) |
