Summary : Second World War Type 28a anti-tank gun emplacement. Adjacent to Garston Lock on North bank of Kennet and Avon Canal, almost touching balance beam of top gate paddle. Overgrown at the rear but in good condition. Interior accessible and in good condition. West facing anti-tank embrasure now obscured by bushes. One of a pair of structures facing each other diagonally across lock. Listed Building Grade II.
