Summary : Site of a World War II check point on Portland Bill Road, Culver Well. It was constructed in 1940-1941 and comprised a barbed wire and wood barrier. Passes and identity cards had to be shown here. The checkpoint had been demolished prior to the end of the war. A field visit in 1997 recorded no traces of the structure.
