MONUMENT NO. 1420391

A World War II pillbox at East Weare Camp, Portland. It was one of six pillboxes surrounding the East Weare Batteries and was constructed in 1940-41. The pillbox is constructed of reinforced concrete and has an irregular six-sided plan. A field visit in 1996 found the structure to be in a good condition.
