MONUMENT NO. 1420386

A World War II pillbox at East Weare Camp, Portland. It is one of six pillboxes surrounding the East Weare Batteries and was constructed sometime between 1940-41. The pillbox has an irregular six-sided plan and is constructed of reinforced concrete. A field visit in 1996 found the structure to be extant.
