Summary : A 'one-off' Second World War concrete pillbox design. Situated on bank at side of B3269 (Bodmin to Lostwithiel) road, near Lanhydrock.
More information : A 'one-off' pillbox design. In very good condition with very little debris inside. It is complete with removable concrete plugs at all embrasures (fitting from inside). White painted numbers 1 - 5 over all embrasures, and galvanised vertical 1in diameter piping fitted to wall (floor to lower edge embrasure - 54ins in length, 5ins away from wall) at embrasures nos 2 and 4. Constructed in concrete blocks with an interior blast wall at entrance. 18ins thick exterior walls. 4ins soil and grass on roof as camouflage. Situated on bank at side of B3269 (Bodmin to Lostwithiel) road, near Lanhydrock. (1)
