Summary : The site of a World War II Airfield Transformer Plinth located at Stapleford Aerodrome. An airfield with World War II and civilian phases. The airfield was opened in 1934 as a civilian airfield but was taken over by the air ministry in 1938 as a Flying Training School. At the time of the Defence of Britain survey (1995-2002) the Airfield Transformer Plinth was found to remain in a poor condition.
