Summary : An inscribed Roman building-stone was found in 1887 built into a wall of the farmhouse at Carvoran. It was found to be badly weathered in 1940, but field investigations in 1966 failed to locate the stone.
More information : [NY 66686578] Inscribed Ro. building - stone (No.1814) found in 1887 built into a wall of the farm-house at Carvoran. Now (1940) badly weathered in the farmyard there. (1)

The stone could not be located, and the present tenant of the farm has no knowledge of its whereabouts. (2)
