Talkin Head Bastle

Summary : The remains of a fortified stone house at Talkin Head by the River Gelt. The ruins stand to 9 feet high, and there is a door lintel on the ground inside. It was documented in 1603. It is known locally as Talkin Head Bastle or Mabs Hole.

The ruined building is situated at NY 555 559 some distance from the present Talkin Head Farm. The ruin is known locally as Talkin Head Bastle or Mabs Hole. (2)
