Summary : According to Curwen there was a yard wall at Castle Carrock which contained the remains of and old pele. A photograph shows a two-storeyed, massively-built, thatched building on the east side of the road to Brampton, opposite Castle Carrock House, and stones from it have been used to build a garden wall there.
