Summary : A tower, probably the Prior's Pele, was demolished by 1816 when the cloister of St Bees Priory was cleared for the vicarage garden. It is shown on a print of St Bees church of 1773 as to the North East of the church. A second tower is referred to in the 17th century and was probably in the field immediately to the west of the priory church, which is known as Tower Flatt.
