Monument Number 1388005

Hob Uid: 1388005
Location :
Northumberland
Coanwood
Grid Ref : NY6860057600
Summary : Ruinous bastle at Lingy Close in a corner of a field between Rowfoot and Eals. Most of its side walls are down, but the northern gable is almost roof high and contains the ground floor doorway. The southern gable is only half the height of the northern one, but also has a doorway which led to an extension, now almost wholly rubble. The standing walls are thick, leaving no doubt that this was once a bastle.
