Summary : Curtain House is a former bastle in a corner of the village green at Catton.The building was converted in the 18th century, the extension being at a slight angle to the bastion in order to avoid protruding across a public footpath at the rear. An upstairs window may disguise the original doorway leading to the living quarters.
