Summary : Remains of a blast shelter attached to the rear of Featherwood farmhouse. It was designed to provide shelter and protection for the inhabitants of Featherwood during periods of live firing on the World War I and later Redesdale Artillery Range. The shelter comprises a brick-built blockhouse with walls 0.6 metres thick.
