DESCRIPTION + /

A Second World War pillbox at the former RAF Biggin Hill site, situated to the west of Leaves Green Road. It is a five sided building intended as an observation and sentry post for part of the Airfield's defences. It was probably built in 1940-1941. It is mostly constructed of brick with a concrete roof and reinforced concrete supports. It features four long embrasures and a channel in the floor to allow for drainage. When the pillbox was visited by a Defence of Britain recorder in June 1997 it was extant and was said to have been in good condition.
