Summary : The Louth and Lincoln Railway was promoted to give East Lincolnshire direct access to Lincoln, and thence to the Midlands and the North, and in the hope of exploiting local iron ore sources.The line was single and heavily graded. Opened in 1876, passenger traffic ceased in 1951 and freight traffic in 1958.
