More information : SU 1495 4373. Two concentric circular ditches, possibly representing a Bronze Age round barrow, are visible as cropmarks on an aerial photograph. The ditches are located within the perimeter of Durrington Walls, and have been confirmed by geophysycal examination. The external ditch has a diameter of 32m, and the inner ditch is 20m in diameter. The feature has been mapped by both RCHME's Salisbury Plain Training Area NMP and EH's Stonehenge WHS Mapping Project. (1-2). |
