Summary : A Second World War Type 22 pillbox located near the northern edge of Boscombe Down airfield, overlooking the course of a military light railway. The pillbox was constructed in 1940-41, built of reinforced concrete and is hexagonal on plan. It formed part of the ground defences of RAF Boscombe Down. A field visit in 2000 found the structure extant, its condition was not recorded. |
