SX 58996378. A robbed hut circle lies on the moderate SW flank of Shell Top. The levelled interior measures 3.5m in diameter and the walls are marked by a ring of upright and recumbant granite postsand blocks, the smaller stones apparently having been removed. There is no obvious entrance. (3)
The Bronze Age hut circle, recorded by previous authorities, is visible as a stony structure on Environment Agency 1m Lidar data flown in 2019 and 2021 Historic England orthomosaic aerial photography. The site was mapped from aerial sources in 2023 during the Historic England Dartmoor-Plym project. It is centred on SX 58986 63773 and measures approximately 5.0m in diameter. (4-5)
