More information : SX 59446675. A fragmentary cist within the denuded remains of a cairn on the moderate W facing hillside above Mill Corner.
The NE endstone and SE sidestone remain in situ giving approximate internal dimensions of 0.6m by 1.4m and 0.2m deep. There is no trace of the other side stones nor the coverstone in the immediate area.
The enclosing cairn has been severly disturbed and measures a maximum of 6m in diameter and 0.15m high.
There is no evidence to suggest the former presence of a retaining kerb. (1)
The Bronze Age cairn and cist, recorded by previous authorities, are visible as a structure and earthwork on Environment Agency 1m Lidar data flown in 2019 and 2021 Historic England orthomosaic aerial photography. The site was mapped from aerial sources in 2023 during the Historic England Dartmoor-Plym project. Two of the cist stones could be mapped from the aerial sources. The monument is centred on SX 59440 66746. The cairn mound measures approximately 5.7m by 4.4m on plan. (2-3)
