Summary : East Acton station was opened on 3 August 1920 as part of the Central Line extension from Wood Lane to Ealing Broadway. The street level station building is a small, brick built structure with a slate roof and an asymmetrical pattern of three windows and two doors. In the 1980s the ticket hall was modernised with the installation of Underground Ticketing System equipment. The platforms retain the original timber waiting rooms.
