Summary : Remains of World War II heavy anti-aircraft battery YY/H21, 250 metres north east of New Farm Cottages at Puddington. It was armed with four 4.5-inch guns with GL Mark II radar in 1942. The four emplacements and command post remain. Scheduled.
More information : World War II heavy anti-aircraft gunsite known as Station H21 first mentioned in War Office records in 1941. The site faces south and would have covered bombing raids targeting the industrial centres around Manchester and Liverpool. (1)
