MONUMENT NO. 1338505

DESCRIPTION + /

A miner's house built for miners and their families at Birch Tor and Vitifer Tin Mines. The building comprised a single storey timber bungalow, l-shaped on plan with a probable porch on the north end. An archaeological survey in 2001 recorded an earthwork terrace and stone plinth as the only surviving remains of the building. The main building plinth measures 10m by 3.5m and the smaller section, which may include the entrance is approximately 5.3m by 2.8m. The bungalow was extant circa 1912.
