Summary : The original Carmelite foundation in Boston was on the East side of the River Witham in Skirbeck. In 1293, the rector of Boston agreed to the erection of a church and houses of the order in his parish. William de Ros granted them a new site West of the river in 1307, (see TF34SW34). White Cross Lane may possibly be on the original site of the friary.
