Summary : Medieval cross with latter sudial in the churchyard of St Marys Church (see SJ 65 SW 4). The cross is made from sandstone and consists of an octagonal shaft set into a block atop three ashlar steps. In the 17th century a sundial consisting of an elaborate square moulded cap with a ball finial, was set on top. On each face is a wrought iron gnomon. Scheduled and listed. |
