Summary : A document of 1550 recommends the construction of a tower and barmkin at Mindrum. They are shown on a map of 1584 but not a s atower, and no trace of either survives above ground.
More information : A tower and barmkin at Mindrum, recommended to be built in 1550, is shown on Dacre's map of 1584. (1) No further information. (2) Saxton's map shows a tower in the vicinity of Mindrum, but is not ccurate enough to locate it precisely, and Dacre's plot is probably a recommendation that a tower should be built. Rejected as a former tower site. (3,4)
