Summary : Site of a former stone circle known as Grey Yauds. In 1777 it was reported as being 52 yards in diameter and comprised 88 stones, with a single outlier 5 yards to the north west. A single standing stone is all that remains to be seen above ground. The area has been cultivated, but no indications of other stones could be seen during Ordnance Survey investigation in 1972. |

A single standing stone on Harry's Common, being the remains of a stone circle known as Grey Yauds, which in 1777 was 52 yds in diam and consisted of 88 stones with one outlier 5 yds to the NW. Scheduled. A possible outlier split in two ('A' NY 5441 4881)(5). (2-6)
Dimensions of the stone are 1.2m x 0.7m x 1.5m high. The area covered by the circle has been under cultivation for a number of years, and there are no indications of the sites of any of the other stones, including the outlier. Published survey (25") correct. (7)
