GREY YAUDS

Site of a former stone circle known as Grey Yauds. In 1777 it was reported as being 52 yards in diameter and comprised 88 stones, with a single outlier 5 yards to the north west. A single standing stone is all that remains to be seen above ground. The area has been cultivated, but no indications of other stones could be seen during Ordnance Survey investigation in 1972.
