Summary : A possible Prehistoric or Roman settlement is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. It is defined by two conjoined enclosures which contain two hut circles.

The cropmarks referred to by authority 1 are the remains of a
possible Prehistoric or Roman settlement which has been remapped from
aerial photographs. It is defined by two conjoined enclosures which
contain two hut circles. The main enclosure, which contains the hut
circles is centred at SU 6994 7048 and measures 40m by 38m. The hut
circles each have a diameter of 10m and are centred at SU 6993 7049
and SU 6992 7048. The other conjoined enclosure appears to bean
extension to the north of the main enclosure and measures 22m across.

The description of the cropmarks by authority 1 used to be in SU 67
SE 73 but this record refers to features over a kilometre away and so
it has been recast into this record.
