Location :

South Oxfordshire
Crowmarsh
Grid Ref : SU6114085840
Summary : Possible Neolithic mortuary enclosure, seen as a cropmark on air photographs.
More information : SU 6114 8584. A possible Neolithic mortuary enclosure was seen as a cropmark and mapped from good quality air photographs. The enclosure is curvilinear, defined a single ditch 18m wide and at least 15m long: the enclosure is either incomplete or is open at the N end. This enclosure was mapped as part of RCHME's Thames Valley NMP project, but does not appear on the MORPH2 database. (1)

The mortuary enclosure appears to underlie the N end of a bank barrow (SU 68 NW 171). (2)
