MONUMENT NO. 1200012

A fairly broad trackway or road (15m-20m wide) extending west-east for 900 metres, is visible as cropmarks on air photographs. Flanking the trackway is a field system, fragmentary to the south, but more visible on the northern side.These features are possibly Iron Age or Roman. The trackway may be heading west to junction with the north-south aligned Roman road Rudgate RR280 (LIN 247)., and east in the direction of the Roman settlement at Tadcaster.
