Summary : The monument includes the base, which takes the form of a socket stone, of a Grade II Listed standing stone cross located in the churchyard of St Andrew's Church to the south east of the south door. The cross is medieval in date and is constructed of limestone. The socket stone is rectangular in section, measuring 0.78 metres by 0.81 metres. Now largely buried, it reaches a maximum height of 0.26 metres above the ground surface. The socket is 0.32 metres square in section. Into it would formerly have been fixed the cross shaft and head.
